I-BOX CREATE has completed the corrosion inhibition project based on nanomodified clays that are especially suitable for reinforced concrete exposed to marine environments.
The results obtained in relation to the additives show important advantages, given that the period of time that the corrosion damage takes to appear is increased, reaching up to three times more than in a concrete without inhibitors. Furthermore, they have no negative effect on the properties of fresh or hardened concrete. The result is a solid, powdery product that can be added directly to the concrete mix.
This project has been financed thanks to the Ministry of Industries and Competitiveness within the State Programme for Business Leadership in R+D+I “Horizon PYME”, which has allowed the development of the business plan to promote the arrival of this product on the market.
